genU is seeking a Property Care Assistant Manager to join our Social Enterprises division. This division delivers high-quality, commercially sustainable goods and services while providing meaningful employment opportunities for NDIS participants with employment-related goals and the broader supported workforce.
In this position you will manage a thriving Property Care team, deliver quality site operations, and create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. This hands-on leadership role combines people management, operational excellence, and a passion for developing inclusive, high-performing teams.
What you’ll do
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the genU Property Care team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery through the coordination of activities, resource allocation, and the supervision and support of staff to meet productivity targets and customer expectations;
- Proactively and effectively lead the depot team, including Supervisors, Supported Employees, Workforce Coordinators and Administrative staff, while supporting professional development and succession planning;
- Support the growth, development and opportunities for Supported Employees.
- Support the operations of other depots, teams and projects as required;
- Proactively engage in new business opportunities for Property Care including but not limited to tender submissions across corporate, private, public and government sectors;
- Partner closely with the Property Care State Manager (WA) and Social Enterprise Manager to achieve strategic and financial goals, including budget management, cost optimisation,
and performance monitoring.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in Managing large and diverse teams;
- A background in landscape and horticulture is essential; and experience with property maintenance highly desirable;
- Demonstrated experience managing operational teams within public gardens and landscaping or a similar commercial environment.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance systems and OH&S; regulations;
- Competent computer skills (Word, excel, outlook and company databases and applications);
