About The role The Atlassian Product Specialist maintains, supports and continuously improves WAPHA’s use of the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. The role includes product administration, access design and management, license management, backlog hygiene, workflow development and enhancements, user support, reporting, documentation, release coordination and stakeholder engagement.

This position operates as an SME on the Atlassian product suite and will be required to acquire and maintain knowledge and capability with current, emerging and relevant functionality that could be used effectively and efficiently within WAPHA. The position will also function as a key user of the products within the Digital and Data Portfolio through taking on roles such as SCRUM management, backlog refinement, sprint planning and other relevant Agile or other processes within WAPHA.

?Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid role)

?Salary: Band 5 ($114,442.06 - $128,750.29) Plus 12% Superannuation

Key tasks and responsibilities:

- Maintain and administer Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence, to support WAPHA process, service and project management.
- Support product enhancements by gathering stakeholder requirements, translating needs into backlog items, documenting acceptance criteria and undertaking or coordinating implementation, testing, release and adoption activities.
- As required by management,



coordinate Agile Scrum activities for Digital and Data teams including sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement and follow-up of blockers and actions.
- Develop and maintain Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, filters, queues, permissions, templates and automation rules in line with approved governance and service management practices.
- Develop and maintain Confluence spaces, pages, templates, knowledge articles and documentation structures to support project, service, decision, risk, action and operational record management and reporting.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support Digital and Data use of Atlassian products to manage demand, workload and delivery.
- Support stakeholder and vendor coordination related to the Atlassian product suite by preparing agendas, documenting outcomes, following up actions and maintaining product-related registers and support notes.
- Promote consistent use of Atlassian tools by providing user guidance, maintaining standards, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting adoption across Digital and Data and, when directed by management, other portfolios.
- Manage the Atlassian product suite to a standardised set of approved templates, workflows, fields, naming conventions, reports and documentation structures.
- Assist other portfolios to assess, configure and adopt Atlassian capabilities as their project, service, reporting and collaboration needs increase.

About you To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education

- Relevant tertiary qualification, training, certification or equivalent practical experience in information technology, digital platforms, agile delivery or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience administering or supporting Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence, in an operational, project delivery or service management environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Jira and Confluence functionality, features, concepts, models, workflows and capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience creating or maintaining standardised templates, workflow patterns, documentation structures, dashboards or reporting models within Jira and Confluence.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Agile activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups.
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear epics, user stories, tasks,



acceptance criteria and configuration or enhancement requirements.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation, registers, action logs, meeting records and product support notes.

Preferred knowledge and skills

- Atlassian certification or training in administering and managing Jira and/or Confluence.
- Certified Scrum Master, Agile, ITIL 4 or equivalent industry process knowledge.
- Experience using and supporting Jira Service Management and/or Jira Work Management to manage workflows, queues, dashboards and reporting.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, managed service providers, delivery partners and internal stakeholders to support product changes and service outcomes.
- Understanding of information security, access management, data quality, auditability and documentation controls relevant to Atlassian product administration.
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Health industry knowledge and experience.
