Are you a 3rd or 4th Year Sheetmetal Fabrication Apprentice looking for an opportunity to build your skills, gain valuable industry experience and work alongside experienced tradespeople?
MEGT is currently seeking a motivated apprentice to join a well-established WA-based industrial fabrication business specialising in sheetmetal fabrication, ventilation, dust and fume extraction, and associated industrial services.
This is an excellent prospect to continue your apprenticeship in a hands-on environment, working across a variety of workshop and site-based projects.
What you'll be doing
- As part of the team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in:
- Sheetmetal fabrication and assembly
- Cutting, folding and forming sheetmetal
- MIG and TIG welding
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium and other materials
- Reading and interpreting drawings and measurements
- Workshop fabrication and preparation
- Assisting with on-site installation and maintenance
- General workshop duties and housekeeping
What we're looking for
We're looking for an apprentice who:
- Is currently in their 3rd or 4th year of a Sheetmetal Fabrication apprenticeship
- Is keen to continue developing their trade skills
- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and eager to learn
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Is comfortable working in both workshop and site environments
Previous experience in sheetmetal fabrication, welding, ductwork or industrial fabrication will be highly regarded.
