We are looking for a skilled and reliable Awning Manufacturer / Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and understands that producing a high-quality product efficiently is essential to a successful manufacturing operation.
About the Role
Working as part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for producing and preparing awnings to a high standard while meeting production deadlines and maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.
Your responsibilities will include
- Manufacturing and assembling awnings and associated components
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials accurately
- Reading and following production drawings and specifications
- Ensuring every product meets our quality standards before leaving the workshop
- Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Identifying and correcting quality issues during the manufacturing process
- Using hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Maintaining equipment, tools and work areas
- Assisting with installation and site work when required
- Working collaboratively with other members of the team
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
What We Are Looking For The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in awning, shade, blinds, aluminium fabrication, manufacturing, construction or a similar industry
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- A genuine commitment to quality and efficiency
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work accurately under time constraints
- Reliability and a robust work ethic
- The ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Good communication skills
- A safety-first attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
Experience with awning manufacturing or installation will be highly regarded, but we are also open to candidates with strong manufacturing or trade experience who are willing to learn.
