Backend Developer

Overview:

Join a pioneering team at the forefront of autonomous and embedded systems development. As a Backend Developer, you will contribute directly to creating transformative technologies in autonomous vehicles, autonomous health systems (AHS), and mission-critical embedded applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible with autonomy and embedded solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and modify complex autonomous and embedded software components within existing systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and engineer scalable, reliable code for safety-critical applications.
- Integrate power-efficient and high-performance algorithms to enhance system autonomy and robustness.
- Contribute to the tuning and testing of autonomous systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work within containerized environments and up-to-date infrastructure to streamline development and deployment workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, define testing protocols, and ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability.
- Engage with AI-driven development tools, such as GenAI coding assistants, to optimize coding efforts.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends in autonomous systems, embedded development, and AHS technologies, applying best practices accordingly.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5 years of relevant experience in autonomous, embedded, or mission-critical system development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, C++, or similar embedded programming languages.
- Experience with React/Redux, TypeScript, and containerized environments for scalable application deployment.




- In-depth understanding of software component interaction through interfaces and dependency management.
- Proven experience in hardware-software integration, sensor fusion, and real-time data processing.
- Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and validation, especially in safety-critical contexts.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Practical understanding of industry standards related to safety, security, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Autonomous Vehicle Systems, AHS, or other autonomous platforms.
- Familiarity with AI integration in embedded and autonomous systems, including specific knowledge of GenAI coding assistants.
- Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
