About Centre of Hope
Centre of Hope is a registered NDIS provider supporting participants across Sydney. We are expanding our allied health and specialist services and are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our growing team on an ABN subcontractor basis.
We welcome applications from developing, experienced and senior Behaviour Support Practitioners. The contractor percentage offered will be based on the practitioner’s qualifications, experience, NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability status and demonstrated capability.
About the Role The Behaviour Support Practitioner will work with NDIS participants, their families, support networks and providers to deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support.
Depending on your experience and scope of practice, responsibilities may include:
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments
- Developing Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Completing behaviour assessments, reports and recommendations
- Identifying behaviours of concern and contributing factors
- Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
- Providing behaviour support strategies and recommendations
- Delivering training and coaching to families, carers and support teams
- Attending stakeholder meetings and case conferences where required
- Monitoring participant progress and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans
- Maintaining accurate clinical notes and documentation
- Working collaboratively with Support Coordinators, OTs, psychologists, speech pathologists and other professionals
- Meeting NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements and relevant reporting timeframes
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have
- Relevant tertiary qualifications suitable for Behaviour Support practice
- Current or eligible NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check where required
- Current Australian driver licence
- Reliable vehicle
- ABN
- Appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage their own appointments, documentation and skilled responsibilities
Contractor Arrangement This is an ABN subcontractor opportunity and not an employee position.
Contractor remuneration is 55%–65% of applicable billable service fees, depending on experience, qualifications and demonstrated capability, plus GST where applicable.
Contractors are responsible for their own vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking, insurance, tax, equipment and general business expenses.
