About The Role
As Bitumen Maintenance Ganger you will be required to undertake and be responsible for bitumen patching duties associated with Council’s road construction and maintenance activities within the rural areas of the Bathurst region.
You will hold a current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence, as a minimum (HR would be desirable), and have knowledge and experience in the operation of minor plant associated with road construction and maintenance particularly bitumen related activities.
Experience with bitumen products whilst working in the road maintenance and construction industry are also key requirements.
Key Requirements
- Possess a current NSW Class HR Driver's Licence as a minimum.
- Possess a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Possess Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Card
- Sound knowledge and experience in the handling of bitumen products and bitumen maintenance practices and procedures.
- Sound experience and knowledge in the supervision, coordination, and management of staff.
- Adequate numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil the requirements of the position.
- Experience in completing standard forms.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,237.70 to $1,300.25 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.57pm with an RDO every second week - Required to be available for periodic weekend on-call roster
