Biomedical Engineer – Full Time

Nova Biomedical is an ISO 9001:2015 certified biomedical equipment servicing company. We support hospitals, clinics, emergency services and medical device companies across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. We're looking for a qualified Biomedical Engineer to join our engineering team in a full-time role.
About the role
You'll apply engineering and scientific principles to the maintenance, testing and performance of medical equipment used in patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, performance verification and electrical safety testing on medical equipment, in line with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3551) and manufacturer requirements
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on biomedical equipment such as defibrillators, patient monitors, ventilators, sterilisers and infusion devices
- Commissioning and acceptance testing of new medical equipment
- Preparing accurate technical reports and service records within our ISO 9001 quality management system
- Advising clients on equipment performance, safety risks and lifecycle replacement
- Working on-site at client facilities, with travel to regional areas as needed
About you
- A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering field (essential)
- At least 1 year of experience in a biomedical or medical equipment engineering role
- Strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills
- A current Australian driver licence and willingness to travel
