The Silver Collective is an Australian jewellery brand that began as an online brand in 2015 and has since experienced tremendous growth, opening our Westfield Miranda boutique in 2020 and our Westfield Parramatta location in 2022. The brand is a creative collaboration of mother and daughter duo, Maria and Anastasia in their pursuit to create affordable finer sterling silver jewellery.

Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial and operational functions of the business. This role is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company through cash flow management and forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, budgeting, and compliance.

The successful candidate will not only monitor cash flow but also provide practical advice and recommendations to support business decisions and ensure healthy cash flow outcomes. In addition, they will contribute to efficient systems, streamlined operations, and a positive workplace culture.

The Role:

Finance & Accounting

- Manage payroll, including salaries, superannuation, and deductions (approx 25-30 employees)
- Ensure tax compliance and collaborate with accountants.




- Lead month-end and year-end close processes with account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely bill payments and accurate financial records in Xero.
- Track budgets, assist with forecasting, and support financial planning.
- Monitor weekly cashflow and maintain financial stability.
- Prepare Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and end-of-month reports.
- Collaborate with business owners on effective, strategic ways to manage and allocate spending.

This is a part time contractor position, requiring 2 days per week. Tuesdays must be worked from our St Peters office, while the second day offers flexibility and can be worked either from the office or remotely from home. Skills & Experience

- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years experience in a finance/admin role, ideally in retail or ecommerce.
- Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
