The Role As a Building & Make Safe Coordinator, you will coordinate urgent Make Safe and insurance building works from initial allocation through to completion.

This role requires someone with a practical understanding of insurance building and property damage who can assess what is required, determine the appropriate trades and sequence of works, and coordinate jobs safely, efficiently and commercially.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Receive, assess and coordinate Make Safe and insurance building requests
- Determine the appropriate response, including required trades, sequencing and scope of immediate works
- Allocate and coordinate trades to ensure properties are made safe within required timeframes
- Manage jobs from initial allocation through to completion and handover
- Liaise with customers, insurers, contractors and internal teams throughout the claim
- Monitor job costs and commercial outcomes to ensure works remain viable
- Identify additional damage, repair requirements and potential variations




- Maintain accurate job records, reports and photographic evidence
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with required SLAs and KPIs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trades and contractors

Key Selection Criteria

- We are looking for someone who already understands the insurance building environment and can confidently coordinate urgent property works.
- Previous experience in insurance building, Make Safe, restoration, building coordination or insurance repairs
- Practical understanding of property damage and the trades required to make a property safe
- Understanding of trade sequencing and coordinating multiple trades
- Experience managing insurance building or Make Safe jobs through multiple stages
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of job costs and margins
- Existing knowledge of, or relationships within, the building and trades industry highly regarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple urgent jobs and competing priorities
- Confident liaising with customers, trades, insurers and internal stakeholders
- Experience using insurance or building job management systems highly regarded
