About the Role Reporting to the Head of Operations with a dotted line to the Building Services Lead, the Building Operations Officer provides practical, day-to-day support for the operation, upkeep and presentation of ENTRI. The role supports routine facility checks, maintenance coordination, contractor access, CMMS/work-order administration, housekeeping and general site tasks. It is not a trade or engineering role and is not expected to independently diagnose, repair or manage critical building systems; technical, safety, quality or compliance issues are escalated to the Building Services Lead or appropriately qualified service providers.





The role also provides hands-on support to Operations and Supply Chain as required, including deliveries, movement of goods, stock counts, room and site set-up, consumable replenishment and other general operational activities.

This role is offered on a Permanent basis. It is Full-time 38 hours per week.

Key Selection Criteria

- Approximately 1-2 years of relevant experience in building or facilities operations, maintenance support, warehousing/logistics, technical support or another hands-on operational environment.
- Demonstrated practical approach and ability to safely complete routine physical and operational tasks.
- Experience supporting service requests, contractors, deliveries, stock, equipment moves or other day-to-day operational activities.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to accurately use electronic work-order, ERP or other business systems after training.
- Demonstrated awareness of Work Health and Safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Experience using a CMMS, ERP or inventory system such as D365, SAP, Maximo or similar is desirable.
- Experience in a laboratory, research, healthcare, cGMP, regulated or multi-tenant facility environment is desirable.
- Experience with warehouse, materials handling, facilities services or contractor coordination is desirable.

- Reliable and organised, with the ability to complete routine tasks and respond to changing day-to-day priorities.
- Practical, hands-on mindset with sound judgement about when to resolve a simple issue and when to escalate.
- Positive communication and customer-service skills when dealing with staff, tenants, contractors and visitors.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices, accurate records and good housekeeping.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively across Building Services, Operations and Supply Chain.
- Ability to safely undertake routine physical duties including movement of goods, equipment and consumables using appropriate equipment and controls.

Qualifications

- A current Queensland drivers licence or eligibility to obtain one.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and training sufficient to safely perform the duties of the role.
- Certificate II/III in facilities, warehousing/logistics, engineering/trade support or another relevant operational field is desirable.
- Current forklift high risk work licence, First Aid qualification or other relevant workplace competency is desirable.
