Project BA is seeking a Cadet Building Certifier / Engineering Graduate to join our growing certification team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or someone early in their career to develop professional expertise in building certificationwithin the construction industry. This is a full-time position based in Noosaville, QLD, where you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge and contribute to the delivery of quality building certification services.
This role is pivotal in supporting our building certification operations and offers a structured pathway towards professional development and qualification in building certification.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with building inspections and certification processes under the guidance of senior building certifiers
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to building compliance and certification
- Liaise with builders, developers, and other construction stakeholders to ensure smooth certification workflows
- Support the development and maintenance of certification templates and quality assurance processes
- Assist with the interpretation and application of building codes, standards and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of surveying practices and processes within the team
- Support the completion of administrative tasks associated with building certification submissions
What we're looking for
- Recent engineering graduate or equivalent qualification in a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Sound understanding of building codes, standards and construction methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with computer systems and technical software relevant to surveying and building certification
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites across Queensland
- Commitment to professional development and obtaining relevant certifications
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
