About the role
We are recruiting 12 Call Centre Operators to join a NSW Government contact centre in Gosford. You will assist customers with a range of government enquiries and transactions, with additional training provided to support road safety and fines-related enquiries.
The role offers potential hybrid work after completing 12 weeks of onsite training and nesting, subject to assessment and business requirements.
As a Call Centre Operator, you will:
- Answer inbound calls and assist customers with government enquiries and transactions
- Provide clear, accurate and professional information
- Initially handle general Service NSW call lines
- Progress to the Road Safety 2 stream and fines enquiries following additional training
- Manage difficult or upset customers calmly and professionally
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Follow established processes and procedures
- Work across multiple systems while assisting customers
- Meet customer service and team performance KPIs
- Contribute positively to a busy and professional contact centre environment
What you'll get
- $38.89 per hour + super
- 28 October 2026 to 28 April 2027 with possible extension
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster between 7am and 7pm
- 12 weeks of paid onsite training and nesting
- Potential hybrid work after training
- Minimum 2 days onsite per week once approved for work from home

About you
You will have:
- 2 to 3 years' customer service experience in call centre, administration, retail or similar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous office experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- A professional and calm approach to customer service
Key information
- Location: Gosford NSW 2250
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Gosford
- First 12 weeks are fully onsite for training and nesting
- Leave is unavailable during the Christmas and New Year period
- Shortlisted candidates must attend a 90-minute in-person assessment centre on Monday, 12 October 2026
