Premier Cardiology is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our friendly and supportive team in a permanent part-time position. Located next to the Wesley Hospital, Premier Cardiology is a small practice committed to delivering high-quality cardiac imaging and genuinely patient-centred care. Our team works collaboratively, supports one another and maintains consistently high clinical standards.
The practice provides services to both outpatients and hospital inpatients, with three dedicated cardiologists who value and support the important contribution of our sonography team.
About the role
Based at a single location, you will work with a diverse range of patients and perform non-invasive cardiac investigations, including transthoracic echocardiograms and exercise stress echocardiograms. Our practice uses GE Vivid S60N and S70N ultrasound systems. Although we maintain a busy and varied caseload, appointments are generally allocated 45–60 minutes to support thorough examinations, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and recognises that excellent echocardiography is about more than obtaining images. It involves producing accurate, high-quality diagnostic studies while ensuring every patient feels comfortable and well cared for.
About you To be considered for this position, you will:
- Hold current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- Have at least 12 months of post-graduation experience in echocardiography
- Demonstrate experience and competence in exercise stress echocardiography
- Take pride in producing high-quality diagnostic studies with close attention to detail
- Have a warm, skilled and strong patient-focused approach
- Communicate effectively with patients, cardiologists and colleagues
- Be reliable, motivated and capable of working independently
- Be willing to support the team during busy periods
- Enjoy contributing to a small, collaborative workplace
- Have the right to work in Australia
