The Opportunity

Our Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre (MAC) team is looking for appropriately qualified and suitably experienced Centre Supervisors' who are customer focused and enjoy working in a fast-paced workplace. This role is integral to the safe and effective operation of the Centre and ensuring the delivery of high-quality recreational service to the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Centre Supervisor, you will have a broad understanding of centre programs and services, while managing a range of centre functions during your shift. These may include:

- Maintaining a focus on ‘big picture' issues across the Centre.
- Maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of the Centre's Emergency Management Plan.
- Working autonomously and being a trusted, active leader.
- Overseeing day-to-day pool operations, including plant room operations and maintenance, water quality control, commercial pool filtration and disinfection, facility programming, customer liaison, resource management, and quality control.

About You As a Centre Supervisor, you will act as a positive role model and leader, identifying potential risks and taking proactive steps to mitigate them.



The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all facility users. You should be able to work independently and make sound decisions in the best interest of our community.

Essential Qualifications

- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Aquatic Facility Operators Certificate

Desired Qualifications/Knowledge

- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation is an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
