You'll play a vital role in shaping the next generation as you work alongside an outstanding team of fellow educators at Discovery Cove ELC. Discovery Cove ELC is a supportive team that will help you grow in your own educational practice, with a high-quality program and close collaboration. We have recently been approved for Inclusion Support in two of our rooms which has given us the opportunity to expand our team.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely together with other educators throughout the centre to achieve goals
- Work with families and the community to promote best practices in customer service in an early learning centre environment
- Ensure legal compliance and uphold child safety standards, including mandatory reporting obligations
About you
- Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) preferred but willingness to work towards considered
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (can be completed if successful)
- Sound knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to guide and inspire educators, build team cohesion, and foster team-oriented relationships
- Adaptive, pro-active and solution focused
- Personable and demonstrated experience communicating with families and other key stakeholders
- A commitment to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities
- Experience with additional needs preferred but not essential
About us Discovery Cove ELC is a 90 place Centre in the heart of the growing Austin Lakes development, in South Yunderup, WA. Discovery Cove ELC opened in November 2024 and has grown quickly, with a low staff turnover and a strong focus on a positive team culture. We're a team focused group with strong links to the community. Discovery Cove ELC also works closely with Austin Lakes Common to make a community impact in our region, and beyond.
