Tendon Kohaku is looking for Part-Time / Full-Time Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands to join our growing team.

You will be expected to assist with all daily kitchen preparations and operations while maintaining our food quality, cleanliness and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily food preparation, including ingredient preparation, portioning and basic cooking.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Tendon Kohaku’s recipes, procedures and presentation standards.
- Assist with service operations during lunch and dinner periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with stock preparation, storage, labelling and rotation.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues to the Kitchen Supervisor or Head Chef.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.
- Minimise food wastage and ensure ingredients are handled and stored correctly.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and station setup.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and contribute positively to the team environment.
- Be willing to learn and assist across different kitchen stations when required.





What We’re Looking For:
- Previous kitchen, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Willingness to work weekends and during busy service periods.
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures and instructions accurately.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 38.0 per week
