About the role The Captain's Daughter is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at our relaxed beach side restaurant/bar in Peregian Beach, Queensland. This is a casual position, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to our high standards
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent meal preparation
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assisting with menu development and recipe testing as required
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a hospitality or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- Flexible and adaptable,
with the ability to work a variety of shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
