About the role The Bower is a local's favourite with a menu that changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce using both local and organic growers wherever possible. We are looking for dynamic, experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our team in both day shifts and also evening service .

The role entails preparing for service, cutting and marinating food, cooking and serving food while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen, and ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation. The Bower relies on our small team to operate as an integrated unit, which means from time to time there may be a requirement to help in other areas of the operation.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients

- Cutting and marinating food

- Cooking and serving food,



while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff

- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen

- Ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation

About you

- At least 2 years' experience as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen

- May have demonstrated experience in supervising junior kitchen staff

- Strong English is key from a Safety and Compliance perspective as well as the smooth operation of a small team

- Work authorisation for Australia
