Feros Group
Sydney
Feros Hotel Group is looking for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join our Group Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in the next stage of our growth.
Based at our Group Head Office in Cronulla, this is a senior, highly visible role working directly with our CEO, Owners and Advisory Board across our portfolio of hospitality venues, property and development entities, joint ventures and new opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be in the business. Someone who understands the numbers but is equally comfortable in a venue talking with operators, working through an investment case with the Owners, challenging a commercial assumption or presenting to the Board.
About Feros Hotel Group
Feros Hotel Group is a family-owned business with a long history in hospitality and an ambitious outlook for the future. We continue to invest in our existing venues while actively pursuing acquisitions, developments, joint ventures and new opportunities.
With that growth comes greater complexity, and an opportunity for the right finance leader to have a genuine impact on what comes next.
The Opportunity
As CFO, you’ll take ownership of the financial leadership, commercial insight, governance and control environment across the Group, while becoming a trusted commercial partner to our CEO, Owners and leadership team.
You’ll help us understand not only how the business is performing, but where we should invest, where the opportunities are and how we make the right commercial decisions for the future.
You’ll lead finance across the Group, including:
- Acting as a trusted commercial adviser to the CEO, Owners, Advisory Board and Group Leadership Team.
- Leading feasibility modelling and investment analysis for acquisitions, new venues, refurbishments, developments and joint ventures.
- Owning Group cash flow, treasury and integrated three-way forecasting.
- Driving solid balance sheet integrity and financial controls across multiple entities.
- Leading Group, venue, joint venture, Board and lender reporting.
- Managing lender relationships, covenant reporting, refinancing and funding requirements.
- Leading the external audit relationship and ensuring the Group’s audit and statutory compliance obligations are current and well managed.
- Partnering with operations on AML/CTF and other regulatory obligations.
- Strengthening procurement, delegations, payables and internal control frameworks.
- Leading, developing and building capability within our in-house finance team.
- Owning the relationship and output of our established outsourced finance, compliance and technology provider.
- Building financial capability across the broader business so our operational leaders understand their numbers and use them to drive better performance.
Skills & Experience
You may already be a CFO or Finance Director, or you could be an exceptional senior finance leader ready to step into your first CFO role.
Either way, you’ll bring:
- CA,
CPA or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Senior finance leadership experience within a multi-site, multi-entity organisation.
- Strong commercial instincts and genuine business-partnering capability.
- Demonstrated feasibility, investment and financial modelling experience.
- Hands-on experience owning integrated P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.
- Excellent balance sheet, financial control and consolidation disciplines.
- Experience working with lenders, including covenants, facilities and refinancing.
- The ability to lead effectively across internal, outsourced and/or offshore finance teams.
- The confidence to work closely with owners and operators, ask the right questions and challenge constructively when required.
Experience within hospitality, pubs, hotels, clubs, gaming, multi-site retail or food and beverage would be highly regarded. Exposure to property development, acquisitions, AML/CTF or complex joint venture structures would also be valuable.
Why Join Us?
Feros Group is in an exciting stage of growth, with continued investment in our existing venues alongside acquisitions, developments and new opportunities.
This role puts you at the centre of that growth. You’ll work directly with our CEO, Owners and leadership team, with visibility across the entire Group and genuine influence over the commercial decisions that shape our future.
You’ll join a business that is entrepreneurial, fast-moving and deeply connected to hospitality, where good ideas are valued, decisions get made and you can see the impact of your work.
