Task & responsibilities ➢ Caring for and supervising children, as well as ensuring their safety, wellbeing and individual needs are being met at all times.

➢ Interacting and communicating with families and responding to any questions or concerns regarding their children’s wellbeing, development and learning.

➢ Assisting in creating and maintaining a clean, safe, healthy and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.

➢ Supporting other educators and team members in delivering quality programs and experiences to an appropriate standard while maintaining educator-to-child ratios.

➢ Organising and ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained and completing all required compliance and legislative requirements.

➢ Applying health, safety, supervision and child protection policies and procedures and implementing appropriate practices to protect children.

➢ Design, implement, and evaluate engaging programs, activities, and learning experiences, including preparing appropriate materials and equipment,



to facilitate children’s individual learning and development.

➢ Contribute to children’s learning and development through developmentally appropriate play-based and guided learning experiences, including intentional teaching, small group activities, storytelling, games, and recreational activities.

➢ Contribute to supporting children's daily routines, including sleeping, toileting, nappy changes, eating and drinking, washing, and transitions.

➢ Observe, monitor, and accurately assess, interpret, and record children's growth, development, interests, and needs, and make sound contributions to programming, assessment, and documentation where necessary.

➢ Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment which promotes the development of children's sense of identity and belonging that respects cultural diversity and promotes the inclusion of people with diverse ability needs.

➢ Supporting children’s social and emotional development by guiding their behavior, encouraging positive interactions and relationships, and promoting appropriate social skills and behaviors.
