About the Role

As a Civil Engineer Draftsperson, you will be responsible for preparing, developing and modifying technical drawings and documentation associated with civil, structural and timber construction projects.

Working closely with engineers, estimators, builders and other members of the design team, you.

will assist in translating architectural and engineering requirements into accurate construction drawings and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed civil, structural and construction drawings using Pryda drafting software.
- Develop drawings and technical documentation for roof trusses, wall frames, floor systems and related structural timber solutions.
- Interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed layouts, plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project specifications.
- Modify and update drawings in accordance with engineering and design changes.
- Liaise with engineers, builders, estimators and project personnel to resolve drafting and design issues.
- Assist with estimating and design documentation for residential and commercial construction projects.
- Maintain accurate drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.
- Ensure drafting work is completed accurately and within agreed project timeframes.




- Assist the wider design team with technical documentation and project coordination as required.

Skills & Experience The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Drafting, Engineering
- Drafting, Civil Construction Design or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a civil/structural drafting or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawing principles and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in Pryda/MiTech/CAD and relevant drafting/design software.
- Ability to interpret architectural, engineering and construction drawings.
- Understanding of structural and construction principles.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small technical team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience in the timber, building or construction industry will be highly regarded.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
