? We’re Hiring – Civil Leading Hand / Excavator Operator

NAC Civil is looking for an experienced Civil Leading Hand/ Excavator Operator to join our team for an upcoming civil project in Bundoora, Melbourne, with the opportunity for ongoing work across future NAC Civil projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable operating an excavator and taking responsibility for day-to-day site activities.

What we’re looking for

- Strong experience in operating excavators
- Civil construction experience across earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete and services
- Ability to read civil drawings, understand levels and work with survey set-out
- Experience leading a small crew and coordinating subcontractors
- Strong understanding of site safety, SWMS, pre-starts and basic QA requirements
- Ability to plan daily works and communicate progress/issues back to the Project Manager




- White Card, driver's licence and relevant plant competencies/tickets
- Someone who is hands-on, reliable and takes ownership of the job

This is not a full-time desk-based supervisor role — we’re looking for someone who can lead the crew while working alongside them and operate plants.

? $55–$60/hr + super, negotiable depending on experience

? Bundoora, VIC

? Immediate/upcoming start

? Project-based initially, with strong potential for ongoing work
