Client Services Manager

Ballarat, full time, immediate start

MDS Accounting & Financial Services has been looking after Ballarat businesses since 2004. We have grown to 40 plus people across Ballarat, Melbourne, Bendigo, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and our head office sits at 702 Sturt Street.

We are looking for a Client Services Manager to join the team in Ballarat. The role is available now.

The role

You are the person who keeps the work moving. Our accountants prepare the tax returns and financials. You make sure the paperwork is right, the client hears from us, and nothing sits waiting.

Day to day you will be:

- Preparing BAS, IAS and tax letters, and collating financial reports and tax returns
- Monitoring job flow in Xero Practice Manager and keeping jobs on track
- Issuing tax authorities and engagement letters through Adobe Sign, and following them up
- Lodging tax returns and recording client events in FYI
- Corresponding with clients to chase information, provide documents and book appointments
- Monitoring ATO reports
- Liaising with the ATO
- Team invoicing, reporting and budget management
- You will report to one of our partners, Alex Richardson.

What we are after





- Experience in client services or administration in an accounting firm, or robust transferable admin experience and the willingness to learn the technical side
- Accuracy. This role is full of small details and they all matter
- Good writing. You will be corresponding with clients, the ATO and other agents daily
- Someone who works well without close supervision and speaks up when they see a better way
- A team player who backs up the people around them
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager, Xero Tax, FYI, Adobe Sign or NowInfinity is an advantage, not a requirement. We will train the right person.
