Make an Impact in Gastroenterology Clinical Research
Join the Gastroenterology Service at Logan Hospital and play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical research while providing expert, person-centred care to participants with inflammatory bowel disease.
About This Role
Your new role
As a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Research), you will provide advanced clinical expertise, critical thinking and coordination in the management of participants involved in gastroenterology research. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, you will help coordinate research activities, support participant advocacy and contribute to the delivery of protected, compliant and high-quality clinical research.
- Coordinate and deliver clinical research activities within gastroenterology and IBD.
- Provide comprehensive, person-centred nursing care and participant advocacy.
- Implement research protocols while maintaining accurate data and documentation.
- Identify and report adverse safety events in accordance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical leadership, education, mentoring and support to colleagues involved in research.
About You You are an experienced Registered Nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and a strong interest in gastroenterology and clinical research. You will bring sound clinical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across a changing research environment.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in gastroenterology, with IBD knowledge highly valued.
- Strong clinical research knowledge, including Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP).
- High-level attention to detail and accurate clinical research documentation and data management.
- Knowledge of research ethics, governance requirements and the Ethics Review Manager (ERM).

About Us Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
