About the role
Due to growth in the department, we are seeking a highly organised and initiative-taking Clinical Trial Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support across a portfolio of clinical trials within the Haematology team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in clinical research within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working closely with Clinical Trial Coordinators and the broader project team, you will support day‑to‑day clinical trial activities including study administration, coordination of trial supplies, data entry, document management, and assistance with patient visits.
Comprehensive training will be provided, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and study-specific training, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates eager to gain hands-on experience in clinical trials.
The role is offered on a full-time (1FTE), 12-month contract basis.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Health Science or a related discipline (clinical trials training provided on commencement).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal, written, and virtual communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- High level of professionalism with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a solutions‑focused approach.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and demonstrated initiative in supporting team goals.
- Personal alignment with Ingham Institute values.
- This position as classified as a Category A worker (as outlined in the NSW Health Occupational Health policy) – mandatory vaccination is required.
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, experience working in a clinical/hospital environment.
- Basic knowledge of clinical research experience, ethical obligations, ICH-GCP.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
- Previous experience in sponsored clinical trials.
