This is a rare opportunity to be part of something new from day one. Plus Fitness Rydalmere is moving into a brand-new facility (just down the road), complete with expanded retail and wellness space alongside the gym, and we're looking for a Club Manager to lead the gym through this transition.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, you'll take ownership of the gym space and be the face of Plus Fitness for our members. You'll lead the team through the move into the new site, making sure every member, prospect and visitor has a positive experience. You'll look after gym standards, equipment safety and presentation, and drive member satisfaction, growth and a vibrant club culture.

You'll work closely with the Facility Manager and the teams across retail and wellness so the whole facility feels connected. You'll also stay hands-on, getting involved in personal training and group fitness to keep fitness at the heart of the club.

You'll thrive in this role if you're approachable, organised and passionate about fitness, and you lead by example. You're comfortable juggling shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and you communicate well with your team, your members and your Facility Manager.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry
- Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience
- Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand.



Skilled in supporting diverse tasks and mentoring future leaders to help them achieve peak performance
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational and formal operational skills. Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively, with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and agility in adapting to evolving business needs
- Ability to be a role model and live our Viva values, and behaviours while being passionate about our brands. You will demonstrate professionalism, respect, courtesy and support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive new member sign-ups, manage renewals, and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention
- Ensure all members and guests receive high-quality service; handle complaints and feedback promptly and professionally
- Maintain high standard of operational procedures. Manage administration, auditing and organisation of the club, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and fully operational
- Ensure all activities, equipment, and facilities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Recruit, train, schedule and manage in club staff; ensure high team performance and morale
- Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, community engagement events, and promotions to increase visibility and attract new members
- Oversee the development and scheduling of fitness programs and classes, ensuring they meet member needs and industry trends
