About The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Commercial Manager to join BMD's project leadership team on a major transport infrastructure upgrade in Western Sydney. Based full-time on site, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of this landmark project, partnering closely with the Project Director, construction teams, clients and key stakeholders throughout delivery. As the commercial lead, you will have end-to-end responsibility for commercial governance, contract administration, risk management, cost control, forecasting and stakeholder engagement across a complex and high-profile transport project.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead commercial strategy and governance across major infrastructure projects.
- Provide commercial leadership throughout tendering, procurement and mobilisation activities.
- Drive contractual compliance, risk mitigation and commercial best practice.
- Manage contract administration, claims, variations and dispute resolution processes.
- Develop and maintain project forecasting, budgeting and cost control frameworks.
- Partner with operational leaders to maximise project profitability and performance.
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients,



subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Monitor project financial health and provide strategic commercial insights.
- Support project teams to identify opportunities, manage risks and achieve project objectives.
- Mentor and develop commercial personnel while fostering a high-performing team culture.

About You You are a commercially driven leader with extensive experience delivering successful outcomes on complex civil construction or major infrastructure projects.

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Law, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in Commercial Management within major infrastructure, transport, water or civil construction environments.
- Strong expertise in contract administration, project finance, commercial governance and risk management.
- Sound knowledge of major construction contracts, procurement models and project delivery frameworks.
- Experience working across the full project lifecycle, from tender development through to project completion.
- Proven ability to manage claims, variations, negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision-making and drive positive project outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
