About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Colmslie Hotel in Morningside, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a diverse range of dishes from our menu
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
- Carrying out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Participating in the rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities
- Contributing ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance our menu offerings
- Ensuring a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment at all times

What we're looking for

- Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food




- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for creating creative and delicious dishes
