About this Opportunity In this role, you will play a key part in delivering engaging and effective communications across the RFDS SA/NT, with a strong focus on supporting teams and communities across the Northern Territory.
You will develop and coordinate corporate, project and operational communications, while identifying opportunities to tell compelling stories that demonstrate the impact of the RFDS and its people. From writing and producing high-quality content across digital, social and traditional channels, to supporting campaigns, events, stakeholder communications and reactive media activities,
you will bring strong writing, editorial and content creation skills to a diverse range of projects.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will manage multiple priorities, contribute creative ideas and ensure communications are accurate, accessible, on-brand and aligned with organisational priorities.
About You The role will suit a communications professional who can confidently move between strategic communications planning and hands-on content creation, from developing project communications and internal messaging through to capturing stories, writing features, creating social media content and producing short-form digital content.
You will bring
- Minimum five years’ experience in a communications or journalism role.
- Adept skilled writing skills and strong understanding of style, grammar and punctuation.
- Strong news sense and capacity to plan, package and repurpose content for different audiences.
- Confident communicator with understanding of communicating to diverse audiences through varied mediums.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills and ability to work with internal and external contributors from a range of disciplines.
- Solid program and project management skills to plan and execute campaigns on schedule and on budget.
- Highly organised,
detail-oriented and results-driven.
- Well organised and proactive with ability to determine priorities and work with minimal supervision.
- Relevant experience working in a commercial role or newsroom.
- Experience working in a complex or regulated environment (health, government, not-for-profit).
- Knowledge of/interest in rural and remote Australia.
- Photography/videography/editing skills.
