About the Role

Clarence is more than a workspace, it’s the only workspace in Australia founded by lawyers for lawyers. It's a community of like-minded professionals and the Location Manager is its heartbeat. You'll lead the day-to-day of your location and its Member Services team, making sure every member feels genuinely supported, valued and set up to do their best work.

Beyond being the friendly face of Clarence, you'll own your location end to end: the presentation and upkeep of the space, relationships with building management and suppliers, and a team you've built, trained and mentored to deliver an exceptional member and guest experience every day.

About You

You're a people champion who leads with initiative, energised by elevating the member experience, whether that's onboarding a new member, resolving a facilities issue, or pulling off an event everyone's still talking about the next week. You have a small team of two, and you take the day-to-day off members' plates so they can focus on their business, their bottom line and their clients.

You believe a great workspace runs on relationships, and you bring the organisation, warmth and hands-on approach to make that happen every single day.

Key Responsibilities

This role is reception based and provides the first point of welcome to our locations. The main duties of the role include but are not limited to the below:

Member Experience & Relations

- Be the friendly, go-to face of Clarence this position is reception based so your the first face members and guests see. You'll build genuine, lasting relationships with every member, in-office and virtual
- Consistently deliver a high level of customer service to our members & guests
- Understand each member's business and proactively connect them to the right services, introductions and opportunities
- Know each your members business, and make sure their space is always ready to match what’s expected of them.
- Partner with fellow Location Managers to ensure best practice is continually followed and upheld so no matter which location our member uses, its distinctly Clarence.





Team Leadership

- Lead, coach and grow the Member Services team, from day-to-day workload to long-term career development.
- Set the standard for the Clarence way of service, training new starters so it shows up in everything they do
- Own rostering and support performance reviews, keeping the team supported and accountable
- Coordinate coverage with other Location Managers where possible so every location is always staffed and ready

Daily Operations & Facilities

- Keep the day-to-day running seamless from greeting members and guests to managing calls, queries and meeting rooms
- Own the presentation of the space: pristine, functional and always ready to impress
- Resolve maintenance issues quickly, coordinating contractors, quotes and scheduling works
- Prepare suites for new and upgrading members ahead of their start date, keys, access, and a proper welcome
- Spot opportunities to improve workflows and service quality, and act on them

Financial Awareness

- Drive auxiliary revenue streams including meeting rooms, admin and legal/IT services
- Ensure the team captures every billable item accurately and in line with the service guide
- Review month-end invoices for accuracy correct charges, clean narratives, no surprises
- Manage discretionary spend against budget and work with peers on preferred suppliers and bulk purchasing efficiencies

Sales & Retention

- Supports Head of Sales with new prospect tours;
- Foster long-term member relationships to maintain high occupancy and community stability
- Keep in regular touch with virtual and community members, reminding them of events, CPD program and networking opportunities to create an active and thriving community.
- Know your members well enough to flag growth,



downsizing or recruitment signals to the Head of Sales for active conversations.

Events & Community

- Create standout events with your team and fellow Location Managers that bring members together and show prospects what Clarence is all about
- Lead CPD events and support the wider program, a key point of difference for Clarence that supports both our members and the wider community
- Bring the Clarence community spirit to life in a way members can feel and want to grow their business around, creating a network of Clarence advocates.

Skills & Attributes

At Clarence, mindset, soft skills and the right desire to support our members and the growth of our business are as significant as the right previous experience. Our ideal candidate will have;

- 2–5 years' experience in a client-facing or administrative role
- Exceptional interpersonal and people-management skills, with the ability to work well with a wide range of members
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Clear, confident written communication, including notetaking and messaging
- Calm and reliable under pressure, able to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
- A natural relationship-builder with colleagues, members and external suppliers
- A hands-on leader and team player, punctual and dependable
