Indigeco is recruiting for multiple Community & Stakeholder Engagement Specialist roles withNSW State Government

Help shape how connects with communities, customers and stakeholders across NSW. About the roles

You will design and deliver strategic engagement and communications that connect Transport’s projects and priorities to local needs. Working alongside project teams and partners, you will use community insights to inform decisions, build trust and support Aboriginal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based engagement and communications strategies.
- Facilitate events, workshops, consultations and forums that capture community feedback.
- Build trusted relationships with government, industry, community and Aboriginal partners.
- Develop engaging content across media, social media, websites, presentations and internal channels.
- Advise leaders and project teams on stakeholder issues, risks and opportunities.
- Use research, data and analytics to target engagement activities and measure their impact.
- Coordinate timely, consistent responses with media and government partners.




- Support team capability and continuous improvement of engagement practices.

About you

- Demonstrated experience delivering strategic communications and stakeholder engagement for complex, high-profile programs.
- Strong relationship-building skills, including culturally safe engagement with Aboriginal partners.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
- Confidence managing sensitive issues, competing priorities and diverse stakeholder expectations.
- Experience using insights, data and evaluation to improve engagement outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Current Australian motor vehicle driver licence.
- Willingness to travel and participate in engagement activities outside regular business hours as required.
