Reporting to the Head of Compliance Department. Work along side with Senior Compliance Officer in managing the business's regulatory, AML/CTF, and KYC obligations.

Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing compliance policies and systems to meet legal standards, and liaising with external law firms on regulatory matters.

Key duties will include:

- Assists with monitoring laws and regulations continuously, focusing on ASIC and AML/CTF requirements.
- Coordinate develop compliance frameworks within regulatory timelines.
- Assist with analyze legal requirements and secure legal advice from external counsel when needed.
- Oversee regulatory reporting by coordinating with internal departments.
- Advise senior management and the Head of Compliance on legal and AML/CTF issues.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the compliance function and report to the Compliance Committee.
- Perform gap analyses on frameworks, policies, and processes to drive improvements.
- Partner with Operational Risk to manage compliance KRIs and control mechanisms.




- Assist Implement and maintain regulatory compliance systems and system workflows.
- Review new products with Front and Middle Office to advise on compliance risks.
- Evaluate business proposals to ensure they align with regulatory authorizations.
- Track emerging trends to update and improve internal policies.
- Provide assistant to advise and influence staff on daily operational compliance and processes.
- Manage HO reporting and submit all compliance reports ahead of deadlines.
- Assist with local policies update promptly to reflect HO compliance requirements.
- Any adhoc task / project assigned via the business.

Essential criteria:

- Tertiary qualification such as an undergraduate degree in business or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 year related industry experience.
- Strong understanding of banking operations is highly recommended.
- Understanding of Australian financial market and regulatory framework will add advantage.
- Able to promote a strong compliance culture both internally and externally.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills both in English and Mandarin.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with stakeholders.
- Able to work under pressure, attention to details and meet all deadlines.
- Robust local banking or financial institution experience is highly recommended.
- Ability to interpret policy and processes and able to develop local policy which is aligned with Head Office policy.
- Microsoft skills of Word, Excel and Project.
