Gold Coast | Full-Time / Casual | Immediate Start Available
We’re looking for another quality person to join our concrete flooring and surface preparation team on the Gold Coast.
We’re open to both experienced flooring installers and someone newer to the industry who has the right attitude, work ethic and ability to learn.
EXPERIENCE WE’D LOVE TO SEE
If you’re already in the industry, experience in any or all of the following would be highly regarded:
- Concrete grinding and mechanical preparation• Husqvarna planetary grinders, particularly RC grinders• Epoxy flooring and flake systems• Grind & seal systems• Polished concrete• Concrete resurfacing and spray finishes• Floor levelling and installation of cementitious levellers• Moisture barriers, primers and coating systems• Crack repair and concrete remediation• Mixing and application of epoxy/resin products• Industrial/commercial floor preparation• Protected operation of grinders, vacuums and associated equipment
Experience operating larger Husqvarna RC grinders and understanding how to properly prepare concrete for different coating and flooring systems would be a big advantage. NOT EXPERIENCED? WE’RE STILL INTERESTED.
We’re also willing to train the right person.
You don’t need years of flooring experience if you’re switched on, mechanically minded, physically capable and genuinely interested in learning a skilled trade.
We’d rather train someone with a great attitude and strong work ethic than employ someone experienced who doesn’t take pride in their work.
THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll need to be
- Reliable and punctual• Hard working and physically capable• Willing to learn and take instruction• Able to think for yourself once trained• Particular about the quality of your work• Comfortable working as part of a small team• Able to look after expensive tools and machinery• Willing to work across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and surrounding areas, with occasional travel for larger projects• Comfortable with occasional early starts, night work or longer days when a project requires it• Current driver’s licence — ESSENTIAL• MR truck licence — highly preferred• Construction White Card required or willingness to obtain one
