Tamborine Mountain Glades is looking for an experienced hospitality professional to take ownership of the on-the-day delivery of our conferences and corporate events.

Set within 114 hectares of rainforest on Tamborine Mountain, our venue hosts everything from corporate conferences and team retreats to meetings, functions and special events.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being on the floor, leading a team and making sure every detail comes together.

The Role

As Conference Captain, you'll take ownership of the event on the day, from preparing the venue and briefing your team to welcoming the organiser, coordinating service and keeping everything running to schedule.

You'll be responsible for

- Reviewing event requirements, run sheets and timings
- Preparing conference and function spaces ready for guests
- Briefing, leading and supporting the service team
- Welcoming and liaising with conference organisers throughout their event
- Coordinating food and beverage service with our kitchen and events teams
- Managing breaks, meals, room changes and event timings
- Maintaining high presentation and service standards
- Responding confidently when requirements change
- Anticipating and resolving issues before they impact the guest experience
- Helping create a seamless experience from arrival through to the end of the event

About You We're looking for someone who:

- Has hospitality, conferences, functions or events experience




- Is organised and confident managing multiple priorities
- Communicates professionally with clients and colleagues
- Enjoys leading from the front and being part of service
- Remains calm and solutions-focused when plans change
- Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
- Is reliable, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- Holds a current RSA (preferred)
- Experience within a hotel, resort, conference venue or events environment would be highly regarded.

- $33.85/hr casual base rate + applicable penalty rates up to $48.95/hr + super
