Network Construction Services is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to manage procurement, subcontract administration and the financial performance of projects across commercial and residential construction, including hospitality fit-outs and residential remedial works.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and administering RFIs, EOTs, variations and payment claims
- Preparing cost forecasts and cash flow reports, and monitoring project budgets
- Managing subcontract packages from scope preparation and tendering through procurement, variations, payment and close-out
- Ordering and coordinating materials before construction starts and throughout the project to meet site requirements and programme dates
- Preparing tender comparisons and procurement recommendations
- Preparing and lodging required project documents through the NSW Planning Portal and other relevant building portals
- Maintaining solid relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
About you
- At least 3–5 years' experience in a Contract Administrator role with a principal or managing contractor
- A qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Experience in hospitality, commercial or residential construction, with knowledge of the Sydney subcontractor market
- Working knowledge of the National Construction Code, security of payment legislation and work health and safety requirements
- Sound commercial judgment and an understanding of head contracts and project risk
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Australian citizenship, as required for this position
