About the role

BP Walpole is seeking an experienced Cook/Chef to join our team on a permanent contract basis. This is an excellent prospect to utilise your culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment based in Walpole, WA 6398. As a Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

This role is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers and upholding the reputation of BP Walpole.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and execjuting breakfast and lunch service, abillity to cook a variety of dishes to established recipes from our seasonal menu both for dine in and takeaway.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the required quality, presentation and consistency.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with management regarding menu performance and costings to keep food and labour costs on target.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies
- Lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service especially during busy times
- Manage cooking times to ensure meals are delivered promptly during service periods
- Respond to customer feedback and adapt dishes as required whilst maintaining food quality

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary principles
- Current food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain certification




- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with kitchen staff and FOH to provide the best customer experience.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of a busy kitchen environment
- Must be reliable and committed with working hours, no evenings, some weekend and public holidays as required
- Proven work and leadership experience.
