Universal Employment Services Pty Ltd is a renowned hospitality group successfully operating several hospitality venues. We are currently looking for a Cook to join one of our venues.

Roles and responsibilities include:

· Inspect and select fresh ingredients and food products to ensure they meet the required quality and freshness standards.

· Prepare a range of ingredients, including meats, vegetables, sauces, marinades and other food components, in accordance with recipes and kitchen requirements.

· Cook and prepare dishes using various cooking methods, including grilling, roasting, frying and other techniques appropriate to the menu.

· Operate and monitor commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, charcoal cooking equipment and other appliances, while maintaining appropriate cooking temperatures.

· Apply appropriate herbs, spices, seasonings and marinades during food preparation and cooking to achieve the required flavour and presentation.

· Prepare and plate meals in accordance with established portion sizes, presentation standards and service requirements, including the addition of sauces, garnishes and accompaniments.

· Prepare Greek and Mediterranean-style dishes,



including grilled and charcoal-cooked meats, pita-based dishes, salads, sides and other menu items offered by the establishment.

· Ensure prepared food is maintained and stored under appropriate temperature-controlled conditions to preserve freshness and comply with food safety requirements.

· Modify and prepare meals where required to accommodate customers' dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten-free and other special dietary requirements.

· Assist with food preparation planning by monitoring ingredient usage, anticipating kitchen requirements and advising on quantities of food supplies required for service.

· Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards throughout food preparation, cooking and storage areas.

Skills and Qualifications:

· AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Experience:

· 1 year minimum experience as a Cook or a related field.

Pay: $79,423.00 – $90,000.00 per year
