The Copy and Content Manager is responsible for creating, editing and managing content across Viking ANZ, while acting as the custodian of Viking’s copy standards and brand voice across every channel, from long-form editorial and print assets to digital and social campaigns.

Beyond content development, this role plays a key role in shaping Viking ANZ’s content strategy and creative storytelling approach. It identifies compelling stories and content opportunities that build brand affinity, inspire audiences and support commercial performance, partnering closely with cross-channel teams to ensure content drives engagement and conversion while reflecting Viking’s premium positioning.

The successful candidate will combine exceptional editorial judgement and creative instincts with strategic thinking. They will also embrace emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to improve efficiency, explore new ideas and evolve how we create content, without compromising accuracy, brand voice or editorial quality.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Communications and collaborates closely with Viking’s global communications teams.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Partner with the Senior Manager, Communications to develop and execute Viking ANZ’s multi-channel content strategy, maximising global creative assets, local media coverage, guest and media testimonials and travel advisor advocacy.
- Lead content ideation and editorial planning, identifying emerging travel trends, audience interests and distinctive Viking stories that can be brought to life across owned, earned and shared channels.
- Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Digital and other cross-functional teams to translate the content strategy into integrated campaigns and channel activity.
- Use data and performance insights to evaluate content effectiveness, identify opportunities and continually optimise content and channel strategy.
- Own the end-to-end development of key editorial assets, including the quarterly Voyager magazine and destination guides, from content planning and commissioning through to copywriting, editing, production and delivery.
- Lead Viking ANZ’s organic Facebook content strategy, identifying opportunities to grow engagement, extend campaign reach and strengthen brand storytelling.
- Develop campaign themes, messaging hierarchies and supporting copy across marketing channels,



ensuring a clear and consistent narrative throughout the customer journey.
- Create and edit long-form consumer content, including brochures, destination content and landing pages, alongside short-form copy across social, email and other marketing channels.
- Provide high-level copywriting, editing and proofreading support across the business, maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy, consistency and brand voice.
- Review global marketing and content assets, identifying opportunities to adapt and amplify relevant messaging for the ANZ market.
- Own and maintain Viking ANZ’s copy and content library, ensuring assets, messaging and editorial resources are current, accessible and effectively managed.
- Act as a custodian of Viking’s brand voice and editorial standards, ensuring brand language and creative guidelines are consistently applied.
- Represent Viking at relevant industry events and expos as required.

About You

- Experience: 5–8 years’ experience in qualified writing, copy or content roles, including at least two years in a senior or lead capacity. Experience in travel, lifestyle, publishing or brand marketing is highly regarded.
- Editorial expertise: An exceptional writer, editor and storyteller with strong editorial judgement and proven ability to adapt voice and tone across channels and audiences.
- Brand & commercial thinking: Able to balance creative storytelling with commercial objectives, developing content that builds brand affinity, engages audiences and supports marketing performance.
- Content strategy: Proven experience developing content strategies, campaign narratives and editorial approaches that connect audience needs with business objectives. You can spot a strong story or content opportunity and turn it into something that performs.
- AI & technology: Confident using AI-enabled tools, including Copilot or similar platforms, across ideation, research, drafting and content optimisation.



You understand how to use AI to work smarter and explore new ideas while applying the editorial judgement needed to protect accuracy, authenticity, creativity and Viking’s distinctive brand voice.
- Content management: Experienced in managing content libraries, style guides and structured content systems, with confidence using workflow, CMS and analytics platforms such as Monday.com.
- Collaboration: A strong cross-functional partner who can work effectively with design, digital, campaign and communications teams to deliver integrated content.
- How you work: Detail-oriented, creatively ambitious and commercially aware, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines without compromising quality.
