Stepping Stones in Life Therapy Service is seeking a passionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Darwin. As an established private allied health practice with over 15 years of experience, we provide services across the lifespan to children, adolescents, adults and families throughout the Northern Territory, including remote communities. This is a part-time role consisting of 2-3 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Allied Health Assistants in a genuinely collaborative environment where client outcomes are at the centre of everything we do.

About the Role

As a Counsellor, you will:

- Provide individual, family and relationship counselling services.

- Provide services to children, adolescents and adults.

- Support clients experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and psychosocial challenges.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans.

- Deliver services in the clinic, schools, homes, community settings and via telehealth.

- Liaise with families, carers, schools and other professionals to support positive outcomes.

- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborative care planning.

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.

- Have opportunities to travel to remote communities across the Northern Territory.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Qualifications in Counselling, Social Work,



Psychology or a related discipline (it is a requirement to already possess a qualification in counselling prior to commencement of employment).

- Membership (or eligibility for membership) with a PACFA.

- Professional Indemnity insurance

- Experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

- Commitment to person-centred, evidence-informed practice.

- Current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain, First Aid Certificate, Up to date Vaccinations, National Police Check (within last 3 months) and Current driver's license.
