Hillwood Berries Pty Ltd requires Vineyard Workers/Farm Labourers to commence from August 2026. You will be employed in a permanent part time capacity. There are 200 positions available. Although you will be employed by Hillwood Berries, you may be working under labour hire arrangements on other farms. Work will primarily be based in the *
- Huon/Lucaston area**, with work potentially available at vineyards and farms *
- within a 100km radius of the Huon/Lucaston area**.
Depending on operational requirements, work may also be conducted at other agricultural properties within this area. You will be required to complete tasks such as pruning, bud removal, weeding, trellising work and picking. There may also be some work such as planting or berry picking at Hillwood Berries, depending on work availability. General farm work will usually be paid on an hourly basis. You will be working 38 hours per week, with employment under the *
- Hillwood Farm Services Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2025 (AE53186)**.
The job classification is:
- *
- Level 1:** $25.80 per hour for the first 6 months
- *
- Level 2:** $26.45 per hour thereafter
Work is generally performed between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, up to six days per week, with weekend work required at times. There are some tasks, usually picking,
that may be performed under piecework agreements. Upskilling and promotions may be possible based on skills and attitude. Additional allowances will be paid for additional skills and roles, including First Aid and Leading Hand allowances.

- Hours during harvest can be long, and rostered work often includes weekends.
You will need to ensure that you are available to work all hours that are rostered to you.
- This can mean early starts in cold winter weather and working on hot days during summer.
- You will need to have reliable transport.
- The exact duration of working days cannot always be predicted, as working hours may be affected by factors such as weather conditions and fruit quality available on the day.
- This will be a labour-intensive job and some work can be repetitive.
