About the role In the role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of exhibitions, programs and cultural initiatives across Waverley’s arts and cultural spaces, working with artists, creative practitioners, community partners and internal stakeholders to deliver high quality, accessible and meaningful experiences for a diverse audience
You will play an significant role in shaping Waverley’s cultural program, building strong relationships across the arts sector and contributing to a dynamic and contemporary cultural offering that reflects the community and its diverse perspectives
Skills & Experience To be successful you will have:
- Current industry knowledge, relevant tertiary qualifications in Visual Arts or Curatorial Studies and extensive experience
- Excellent skills in building constructive relationships with arts and community stakeholders
- Ability to support cross organisational project teams to deliver agreed outcomes in a complex environment as needed
- Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating Visual Arts programs that offer engaging experiences and reflect industry best practice
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and visual communication skills with strong experience in working collaboratively across a dynamic organisation
- Experience in budgeting and tracking expenditure, event/project and resource management, negotiation, contracting and risk management in an arts context
- Ability and willingness to work outside standard office hours, including weekends.
- An understanding of and commitment to EEO and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
