? We're hiring! And we're looking for students in Sydney
Hatch needs a Customer Success Intern who loves making things work better.
This role is a 3+ month contract, will be based in Surry Hills on a hybrid set-up (flexible around your timetable), and will ideally work at 24 hrs/week.
Reporting to our Customer Success Lead, you'll help great jobs find great people. Some days that means getting new job ads live and in front of the right students, on Hatch and beyond. Other days you'll be playing detective: digging into the numbers to work out why a listing has gone quiet, then fixing it. And when we need more talent in the pipeline, you'll run outreach through partnerships, email and social to bring it in. No day is the same, and your work will help real people land real
Responsibilities
- Get outstanding roles in front of the right people. Launch and promote job ads for our customers across Hatch and LinkedIn.
- Keep the marketplace fresh and high-performing. Run regular health checks across Hatch to find underperforming and ageing jobs, creating and carrying out action plans to address problems where necessary
- Find and engage top talent. Run targeted outreach through various campaigns (i.e. LinkedIn, emails, socials), reaching both the Hatch talent pool and the wider market.
- Set our customers up to win. Be the hands-on expert behind every customer's success on Hatch: support building out company profiles, fine-tune job ads, and share best practices and performance insights that improve their results.
- Be the go-to for customers and candidates. Partner with the Growth team to respond quickly and thoughtfully to requests from both sides of the marketplace.
- Bring the customer's voice to the team.
Turn customer conversations into feedback and insights that shape how our Growth, Product and Engineering teams build Hatch.
- Roll up your sleeves. Take on whatever else comes up across Customer Success. At a startup, no two weeks look the same!
Key criteria
- Currently studying. You're enrolled at university or TAFE. Business, HR, marketing, or communications degrees are a plus.
- You write clearly. You can improve a job ad, write an outreach message or a customer email that's clear, friendly and gets a response.
- You're a self-starter. You take ownership, act without waiting to be asked, and do well in a fast-moving startup where priorities shift.
- You love the details. You spot an ageing job or a broken ad before anyone else does, and you're organised enough to juggle several responsibilities at once.
- You're organised. You can juggle job ads, customer requests and outreach campaigns without dropping the ball. You prioritise well, meet deadlines and keep track of the details while fitting it all around your studies.
- You look for answers in the data. You're curious about why a role isn't performing and comfortable working out what to do next.
Nice to haves
- You have prior experience. Experience in customer service, recruitment, admin or sales has taught you how to handle requests, fix problems and keep people happy.
- You know your way around LinkedIn. You get how people find and apply for jobs, especially Gen Z. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, a CRM or an ATS is a bonus, not a must
? Not sure if you're a fit? Apply anyway! We're open to students from different experiences and backgrounds.
We're moving fast though, so get your application in now.
