About the role

As the Deli Supervisor at Peries IGA Supermarket Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the deli department. Working in a full time capacity, you will be based in Wondai, Queensland and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and profitability of this key department.

What you'll be doing

- Managing and leading the deli team, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality in the deli
- Developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, optimise product offerings and improve operational efficiency
- Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and managing inventory to minimise waste and maintain optimal stock levels
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety and food hygiene regulations
- Reporting on key metrics and contributing to the overall performance of the store

What we're looking for

- Experience in a deli or cafe
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities




- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
