Key responsibilities
- Assist dentist during procedures
- Sterilise instruments and maintain infection control
- Prepare treatment rooms and keep them clean
- Assist with patient care and records
- Support reception and general clinic duties
- Process payments, Medicare and private health insurance claims
- Manage patient appointments, recalls and records
- Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first impression
- Coordinate patient flow and support the dental team throughout the day
About you
- Previous experience in dental assisting for at least 1 year
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid organisational and time-management abilities
- A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
- Confidence managing competing priorities
