Martin Dentist Dentures is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Elizabeth this role offers the flexibility of casual work whilst contributing to the high-quality dental care we provide to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist you will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting oral health, working closely with our dentists and clinical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing

- Performing professional cleaning and scaling of teeth to remove tartar and plaque
- Providing oral health education and preventative care advice to patients
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and recording detailed clinical findings
- Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays) following appropriate safety protocols
- Applying preventative treatments such as fluoride and sealants
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures and treatments
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to the highest standards
- Supporting the dental team in creating a welcoming and qualified environment
- Contributing to infection control and maintaining compliance with dental health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a Dental Hygienist
- Formal qualification in Dental Hygiene
- Proven experience working in a dental practice environment
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oral health promotion and disease prevention




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Proficiency in using dental hygiene instruments and equipment
- Sound understanding of infection control, sterilisation and health and safety protocols
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a clinical team
