South Coast Denture Clinic is seeking an experienced Acrylic Dental Technician to join our in-house laboratory in Tweed Heads South on the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys creating quality dentures. You will work closely with our dental prosthetists, combining established acrylic techniques with modern digital denture manufacturing, including milling and 3D printing.
Strong acrylic skills are our priority. Experience with digital dentures is an advantage, but is not essential.
The role
You will be involved in all aspects of acrylic denture work, including:
- Manufacturing full and partial acrylic dentures, including tooth setups and wax-ups.
- Processing, trimming, finishing and polishing dentures to a high standard.
- Completing denture repairs, relines and additions.
- Working from prescriptions and communicating with our prosthetists to achieve the required results.
- Organising your workload to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Supporting our digital denture manufacturing workflows, depending on your experience.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant dental technology qualifications and demonstrated experience in acrylic denture work.
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail and an eye for natural-looking denture aesthetics.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities and produce consistent results.
- A reliable, team-focused approach and clear communication skills.
- An interest in developing their skills as denture technology continues to evolve.
Experience with 3Shape, milled dentures or 3D printing will be highly regarded.
Why join us?
You will work in an on-site laboratory with direct access to the prosthetists prescribing your work, allowing for clear communication and feedback on cases. The role offers diverse acrylic work and exposure to both conventional and digital denture manufacturing. It is an opportunity to contribute your existing skills while broadening your experience with modern production techniques.
How to apply
Click Apply and submit your resume with a brief introduction outlining your acrylic denture experience, any digital manufacturing experience and your availability. We would love to hear from technicians who take pride in their craft and want to contribute to a team focused on quality dentures and patient outcomes.
