Design Manager opportunities have opened up on a high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure program based out of South Australia. We are looking for high-caliber design leaders from consultancy, contractor, or client-side backgrounds to step into this pivotal role.
About the Role In this role, you will lead engineering and design delivery across key program packages, driving integration, compliance, and governance throughout all project phases. Working alongside Senior Directors, you will manage external engineering partners to ensure all deliverables meet strict quality and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead package design planning, technical assurance, and change management.
- Manage Owner's Engineer deliverables and align with systems engineering targets.
- Oversee gateway reviews and enforce program engineering standards.
- Drive digital engineering implementation and champion safe design principles.
- Mitigate technical risks while liaising with regulators, government, and contractors.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure design constructability on site.
Looking For
- 8 - 12 years managing design on major, complex infrastructure developments.
- Background across Tier-1 contractors, top-tier consultancies, or client side.
- Proven experience in highly regulated or high-assurance sectors.
- Robust track record with digital delivery tools and framework integration.
- Australian Citizenship is a Must for Security Clearance purposes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder skills.
