We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house fleet team in Loganholme, Queensland. This permanent, full time position is crucial for maintaining and optimising our fleet's performance, ensuring safety and reliability in our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the training of junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in an in-house fleet environment.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's licence and relevant certifications.
