The Opportunity
5 Year Contract | Full-time | 7.30 am - 4.00 pm | Commencing 19 January 2027.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of IT will provide strategic leadership for the continual evolution of the School’s digital ecosystem, ensuring technology is secure, resilient, cutting-edge and aligned with the School’s strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities include
- Strategically advise the Senior Leadership Team on digital transformation, emerging technologies, and opportunities to enhance teaching, learning and business operations
- Lead the development and delivery of the School’s IT Strategic Plan and digital transformation roadmap, including effective change management and stakeholder engagement
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing, service-focused IT team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability and customer service
- Ensure robust business continuity, disaster recovery, backup and incident response arrangements are established, tested and maintained
- Lead the design and management of a secure, scalable and cloud-first technology environment, including networks, servers, identity management, core systems, M365, Google Workspace and educational technologies
- Provide technology leadership for capital works and Master Plan projects, including network infrastructure, audiovisual systems and physical security integration
- Lead IT procurement, vendor relationships and contract management, balancing user needs, system integration, security, privacy and budget requirements
- Develop and manage annual operational and capital IT budgets, driving cost optimisation and sustainable multi-year planning
- Provide clear and timely IT, infrastructure, cybersecurity and risk reporting as required.
